Team Workshop “Sustainability”

In January 2022, we had our first inhouse team workshop regarding sustainability with the whole #teamgral. Between 1:00 and 5:00 pm, we learned all about climate, corporate climate protection and solutions for a more sustainable event planning. For this, experts from myclimate prepared an intense programme for us.

The first part mainly focused on bringing all team members to the same level of knowledge. A detailed introduction into sustainability was the foundation for achieving this. To complete the first part of the workshop, our workshop hosts checked our newly obtained knowledge and some additional facts through a small quiz – our competitive spirit was awoken!

During the second part of the sustainability workshop, we focussed on oportunities for our everyday work through running through practical examples. The most interesting questions for us: How do previous projects perform when calculating their CO2 footprint and how can we reduce the generating of CO2 at our events most efficiently? Here, we identified easy steps to design events more sustainably. Unfortunately, we also had to realize that major impact factors such as the arrival of actors and guests can hardly be avoided.

The one thing we can all agree on after the GRAL Team Workshop on sustainability: we will put even more effort into our service area climate.fair in the future. To start it of, we will focus on improving our GRAL office space.
